NWMO Community Guidelines

The NWMO is committed to fostering respectful dialogue, and welcomes a diversity of views on Canada’s integrated strategy on radioactive waste.

Our community guidelines are aimed at fostering a safe environment on all our communication channels for people to express views, ask questions and exchange information. We ask that anyone engaging with our channels shows courtesy, kindness and respect for all other members of our communities.

The NWMO reserves the right to determine whether contributions made on our communication channels follow these guidelines. We reserve the right to hide or delete comments on our channels, including comments that:

  • Contain harassing, offensive, threatening, abusive, hateful, inflammatory or violent language;
  • Promote discrimination based on characteristics such as race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;
  • Include personal attacks, derogatory statements or personal information; and 
  • Contain commercial promotion and/or spam.

If comments in violation of the community guidelines persist, the NWMO also reserves the right to block or remove users.
